Coorong Quays is situated upstream of the Goolwa Barrage which separates the salt water from the fresh water, hence the marina is fresh water.
The marina and lagoons are all excavated to allow approximately 3m depth at pool level.
Depending on water level, water flows and Government restrictions and the experience of the skipper you can venture to the Coorong, Lakes Alexandrina and Albert and the length of the River Murray.
Some vessels can go out through the mouth when conditions are appropriate but its not recommended without a pilot
The Coorong is home to Mulloway, Salmon Trout, Bream, Flounder and Coorong Mullet. The River has Callop, Red Fin and European Carp.
We have recently upgraded our on water refueling facility. We have 2 ULP and 2 Diesel pumps with a 24 / 7 automated payment system to allow access any time of the day or night from the water or the land. This includes a high flow diesel nozzle delivering approximately 80 litres per minute to help you get on the water faster. Forget about the jerry cans!
